On the afternoon of April 25, the Inaugural Meeting and First Members’ Congress of the Science and Technology Association of Nanchang KINGSOON Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. was held in Conference Room 113 of the company’s research building. Wang Nina, Chairperson of the Nanchang Municipal Association for Science and Technology; Fu Wenzhi, Vice Chairperson; Cai Jing, Director of the Innovation and Development Department; Zhu Biao, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of the Nanchang Economic and Technological Development Zone; and Xu Leqian, Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Economic Development Bureau, were invited to attend. Pan Bin, Executive Deputy General Manager of KINGSOON Optoelectronics, Yi Yiren, Deputy General Manager, along with representatives of the association members, participated in the meeting.

At the meeting, the representatives heard a report on the preparatory work for the enterprise science and technology association. Xu Leqian, on behalf of the Economic Development Bureau of the Nanchang Economic and Technological Development Zone, read out the Official Reply on Approving the Establishment of the Science and Technology Association of Nanchang KINGSOON Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. The charter and election methods of the association were adopted, and the list of candidates for the first committee of the KINGSOON Optoelectronics Science and Technology Association was approved by vote.

The newly elected Chairperson, Pan Bin, delivered a speech. He noted that the establishment of the association would further mobilize the enthusiasm of all the company’s scientific and technical personnel, comprehensively advance technological progress, and give full play to the role that “science and technology are the primary productive forces.” He expressed the hope that all scientific and technical workers would leverage their strengths, devote themselves with full passion to R&D and technological transformation, keep pioneering and innovating, comprehensively raise the level of the company’s scientific and technological work, vigorously promote the building of the company’s modern industrial system, and accelerate the development of new quality productive forces.

Chairperson Wang Nina of the Municipal Association for Science and Technology congratulated the company on the establishment of the association and stressed the great significance of founding an S&T association organization. She said that enterprises are the mainstay of scientific and technological innovation and the gathering ground for scientific and technical workers. As a mass organization of scientific and technical workers, the enterprise science and technology association serves as a bridge and link between the Party, the government, and the enterprise’s scientific and technical personnel, and constitutes an important force for promoting enterprise technological progress and strengthening the capacity for independent innovation.
