To enliven the company’s cultural atmosphere and provide a platform for chess-loving colleagues to compete and make friends through the game, a three-day “Chess Great Sage” Showdown was held in the company cafeteria from August 20 to 23, 2019.
The chess tournament consisted of two categories: Gomoku and Chinese chess, using a knockout system. In the competition, everyone adhered to the principle of “exchanging skills and making friends through chess,” upholding the spirit of “friendship first, competition second,” demonstrating commendable sportsmanship and a high level of competitive form. The contestants fully leveraged their individual strengths and potential, doing their utmost to create obstacles for their opponents. Some were deep in thought, some delivered swift checkmates, and some burst into hearty laughter. The event also drew many spectators to watch the matches. After intense competition, first, second, and third prizes as well as participation awards were presented, and the event concluded successfully amidst harmonious laughter and joy.
Through this activity, everyone made friends through chess, closing the distance between one another, enhancing friendships, and strengthening the sense of both competition and cooperation. It also reflected the company’s positive and upbeat spirit.
